Focus in
Focus in.
Setting sun over mountains west. And the frigid air has gained heat in the warmth of the sun but she's been locked inside the one window room all day and missed its light. She notices the warmth but notices more she missed the light that caused it. Quickly, she makes her way to the safety of her car later than she hoped.
Doors unlock, open, close. Collapse, inside as feelings come out and she begs for help, hope, direction, forgiveness, and strength. Her chest drives up as air is gasped to be released down with her cries for comforting reassurance.
Driving home, her arms and body shakes as tires tread north on the uneven pavement.
Goodnight prayers for good rest.
And she wakes up, and walks out...
"So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal."
-2 Corinthians 4:16-18
