Is your glass half empty or half full?
"Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean;
wash me, and I will be whiter than snow."
wash me, and I will be whiter than snow."
-Psalm 51:7
Have you looked outside?
Is your glass half empty or half full?
Did you thank God for the beauty of His creation?
It's all a matter of perspective, how you handle today.
Whether you live with the joy that we have a Savior who is willing to take our sinful nature and work with us and through us to become white as snow like He is.
He does not just take our old mistakes and ways and cover them, He COMPLETELY removes them.
How cool is that?
“Come now, let us settle the matter,”
says the LORD.
“Though your sins are like scarlet,
they shall be as white as snow;
though they are red as crimson,
they shall be like wool"
says the LORD.
“Though your sins are like scarlet,
they shall be as white as snow;
though they are red as crimson,
they shall be like wool"
-Isaiah 1:18
So when the snow melts away, maybe its because he doesn't want to just cover the dirty shoveled snow on the side of the road, but replace it with His new fresh white sparkling crystals, so that as the sun beats down on the snow, melting it away, we don't see the old hidden dirty snow, but the fresh clean green that is waiting to spring up and out once spring arrives.
He gives us a glimpse of the warm months with bright green leaves of spring that is ahead, while we are in the bitter cold of winter.
"As...the snow come down from heaven,
and do not return to it
without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish,
so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater"
and do not return to it
without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish,
so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater"
-Isaiah 55:10
"See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland."
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland."
-Isaiah 43:19
Not just cover up our old ways and sin. So that even when the ways and realities of this sinful world beat down on us like the sun, melting away our vision of His strength, we do not see our dirty old ways, but the new brightness of the changed person He is molding inside of us.
"What do workers gain from their toil? I have seen the burden God has laid on the human race. He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil—this is the gift of God. I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it..."
-Ecclesiastes 3:9-14;
He did not say it would be easy, but He did say He would never leave us.
"but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint."
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint."
-Isaiah 40:31
So do not worry, He's got you ;)
“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. "
-Matthew 6:28-29
