We want, what we want.
"But because of your
stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath
against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed. "
-Romans 2:5
We want what we want,
when we want it.
But if we don't get what we want
right when we want it,
we don't want it anymore.
"God
is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown
him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, in order to make your hope sure. We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.
When God made his promise to Abraham, since there was no one greater for him to swear by, he swore by himself, saying, “I will surely bless you and give you many descendants.” And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised."
-Hebrews 6:10-15
I'm lacking in self-control.
I'm lacking in self-discipline.
I'm craving God.
But I can't stop myself from filling up on everything but Him.
I can not slow my mind down long enough to hear Him speaking to me.
"For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins"
